Suspected Nazi obsessed terrorist charged under the Terrorism Act

Neil Lewington has been arrested for possessing bomb making equipment and charged under the Terrorism Act for 'intending to commit an act of terrorism'. The unemployed and suspected Nazi-obsessed terrorist has appeared at Westminster Magistrate's Court in London.

The 43 year old from Reading was arrested on October 30th at Lowestroft railway station in Suffolk. Whilst detained, Lewington was found to be in possession of a 'Waffen SS UK members' handbook' and another called Counter Bomb.

Lewington was charged in court 'for a purpose connected with the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism'. He was also charged with having 'several notebooks containing drawings and handwritten notes' that could be used in preparing an act of terrorism, it was claimed. On Novermber 28th Lewington will appear at the Old Bailey to face a charge of plotting to cause serious injury or death by explosions and ten charges under the Terrorism Act.
