When questioned about whether or not they were to allow Hezbollah spokesman Ibrahim el-Moussawi in to the country the Home Office had this to say:
'Exclusion decisions are based on hard evidence not hearsay, and are targeted at those who seek to stir up tension and provoke others to violence regardless of their origins and beliefs.'
There is no hearsay in saying that as media spokesman for a genocidal terrorist group, it is Moussawi's job to 'stir up tension and provoke others to violence'. This is a job he has carried out with great skill: he was the Head of Political Programming at al-Manar TV, the official media wing of Hezbollah, when it was banned in France and Germany and by the leading European satellite providers for stirring up hatred against Jews, inciting violence against them and glorifying suicide bombings.

Even if we were to put aside the fact that this man was until recently one of the heads of a fanatically racist and blood-thirsty television channel designated by the U.S. as a terrorist entity, he is a member of a terrorist group that is ideologically devoted to the destruction of Israel and the extermination of Jews worldwide; a group which murders political opponents as a matter of policy and terrorises members of the Lebanese population who dare to defy them. Hezbollah's involvement in terrorism, both in the Middle East and the world, has prompted The United States, Holland, Canada and Israel to designate them as a terrorist group. Australia and the UK have not yet gone quite as far, designating only their military wing.
The School of Oriental and African Studies are paying for Dr. el-Moussawi to travel to the UK and teach Government officials and the police about political Islam. They stand by their decision, claiming that this will 'help Government officials and other senior leaders understand more clearly what makes Hezbollah tick'. There are plenty of experts who can do just that who are not actually members of a terrorist group, and could most certainly give a more unbiased analysis of Hezbollah. If SOAS have their way, Dr. el-Moussawi will be joined on this course by another speaker, UK-based Dr. Kamal el-Helbawy, a man who recently explained to BBC Arabic why suicide bombers are justified in the murder of two year old Israeli's. What will their explanation of his invitation be? Perhaps they would also like to give government officials a chance to find out how other exponents of infanticide 'tick'.
The decision on whether or not to bar Dr. el-Moussawi has already been made by the Home Office's moronic and cowardly ban on Geert Wilders for criticising a religion. Not only was this an insult to all British Muslims who the Government seems to think can only show their displeasure with violence, the Home Office has also put itself in a very difficult situation as they will soon realise that there are people out there who are far worse than Mr. Wilders and who have been passing freely through this country with impunity. Say what you like about Geert Wilders, but he is not a member of a terrorist organisation.
