The Centre for Social Cohesion is featured on today's front page of the Jewish Chronicle.

The JC covers the attempts made by the CSC to highlight Nick Clegg's shortcomings in dealing with antisemitism in the Liberal Democrat party. Clegg had stated in a meeting to the European Institute for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism that he would take action against Baroness Jenny Tonge if she made antisemitic remarks were made 'on his watch'.

Douglas Murray, Director of the CSC, wrote a letter to Clegg highlighting some of Tonge's actions since Clegg became leader of the Liberal Democrats. These included meeting  the Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal this March in Syria; meeting Ramadan Shalah, head of Islamic Jihad; and in July 2008, speaking at IslamExpo, blaming the 'Jewish lobby' in the US for 'making all political parties obey the will of Israel'.

Clegg has yet to reply to the letter.

Tonge has previously stated that 'The pro-Israeli lobby has got its grips on the Western world, its financial grips', and that she would consider becoming a suicide bomber if she lived in Palestine.
