The program to build a huge mosque next to London's
Olympic site was brought to an end by Newham council yesterday.
The Mosque was meant to provide
accommodation for 12,000 worshipers and would have been the largest Muslim
place of worship of Europe. The council may also impose a compulsory purchase
of the land, since a provisional mosque has been unlawfully operating there for
three years.
The project was supported by
Tablighi Jamaat, who have 80 million followers across the world. Tablighi
Jamaat is a proselytising organization that adopts a strict interpretation of
Islam. Despite the fact they have denied partaking in terrorist activities,
intelligence agencies have recognized links between this group and British
terrorists.
Newham Council's decision was
highly criticized by the Muslim Council of Britain who condemned the expulsion
and described the ruling as "unfounded hostility and hysteria".
However, others that had been
calling for a stop to the project saw their efforts pay off yesterday. The local community and Christian religious
groups have actively opposed the plan since 2007. A petition including over
48,000 signatures was presented to the Government against the project. Several
Muslim groups have also supported the Council's decision and efforts to counter
youth radicalisation. They declared that a mosque should be the result of a
"community effort" rather than the project of one group.

In Camberley, Surrey, the Council has just given planning consent to demolish a listed Victorian building, in a Conservation Area, to build a 'regional mosque'. The whole borough has a muslim population of less than 3 per cent, and needless to say, the majority of residents oppose these plans. To make matters worse, the deluded Councillors ignored the advice of the planning officers who recommended that the application was refused.
Such a sad day, when our heritage is demolished to make way for minarets! Also, this is at the very gates of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst - can you imagine the Americans allowing a mosque at the gates of West Point - I think not!

1 - Establish a community of Hizb ut-Tahrir members who work together in the same way as the companions of Muhammad. Members should accept the goals and methods of the organization as their own and be ready to work to fulfill these goals.
2 - Build public opinion among the Muslim masses for the caliphate and the other Islamic concepts that will lead to a revival of Islamic thought.
3 - Once public opinion is achieved in a target country through debate and persuasion, the group hopes to obtain support from army generals, leaders, and other influential figures or bodies to facilitate the change of the government. The government would be replaced by one that implements Islam "generally and comprehensively", carrying Islamic thought to people throughout the world.
And yes, there is plenty more from where that came from, since many Muslims & Muslim organizations (and not just violent jihadists) have made their views, plans & goals perfectly clear. Playing the 'ignorant Islamophobia' card against people who are concerned about these things is pathetic & the favourite tactic of the self-loathing Left & their jihadist apologist friends.

It is a matter of great sadness to me that the generosity of the British people is being abused by an extremist religious sect that has no sense of its obligations to us and no gratitude for the generosity afforded to them. I have to wonder at the way these people can suspend all moral and ethical standards in pursuit of their religious aims. Do they really believe that a just God, whatever his/her name, will reward them for advocating the murder of innocents merely because they do have the same beliefs. And why on earth would they attempt to recreate in Britain, the very conditions that they came to this country to escape from?
When I invite someone into my home, I do not expect my guest to insult me by rearranging the furniture to suit themselves. This is what is happening in our society, whereby our guests are demanding that we change to accommodate their cultures rather than that they adapt to ours.
I am afraid that, as time goes by, my previously liberal leanings are being modified by the behaviour of minority groups whose demands on our society are becoming louder and more outrageous. At first was irritation, then a growing awareness of a threat to the established beliefs and traditions of my culture, and lately an active dislike. How long, I wonder, will it be before I begin to hate, and how many more are there who feel as I do?
Multiculturalism is an idealistic dream that has never succeeded in any nation on earth, and Britain will not be the first to make it work. Unless those who come here to escape from intolerable conditions in their own countries learn to adapt to the society that gave them shelter, there will be conflict, and the rise of political parties such as the BNP which will appeal to those whose fear will overcome their tolerance.
